When the design team at IA Interior Architects entered the 2006 NeoCon 'Westedge Design Competition,' their assignment called for a unique, cutting edge approach that would elevate both art and function in fresh and unexpected ways. According to then IA manager Len Scott, using glass as a dominant feature in their 'Corporate Office Suite' was a natural choice for a concept that emphasized light, texture and fluid lines. He consulted with UltraGlas to help realize this vision, and the collaboration yielded stunning results — winning the NeoCon Westedge 'Best of Show' Award — and, subsequently, the UltraGlas 2006 'Creative Excellence Award.'

We asked Mr. Scott, now president of Scott Associates and a 40-year veteran of the interior design trade, to share his philosophy as well as insights into using glass as a creative architectural medium. Here's what he had to say...
