Frosted Components — in translucent applications, sand frosting provides added diffusion and added privacy — as well as a soft 'Lalique' appearance. Frosting may be specified overall (as shown at left), or in specified areas (far left) and may be sealed to achieve various effects and to reduce maintenance requirements. Frosting may be combined with other finishes, such as color and silvering.

Etched Components — glass etching can add a highly dimensional linear or textural appeal. This technique is often employed in signage (far left) and illustrative applications (left), where it can accurately represent very specific graphics, letterform and other information.
